Acts 10:46-48 King James Version (KJV)
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

46 because they heard them speaking in foreign languages and praising God. Then Peter said, 47 “No one can stop us from using water to baptize these people who have received the Holy Spirit in the same way that we did, can they?” 48 So Peter ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus the Messiah. Then they asked him to stay there for several days.

46 Speaking in tongues isn’t intended ever to bring glory to self but to give glory to the Lord. We should always magnify God with not just our mouths but also thru our actions.
47 The Baptism came after they received the Spirit which shows salvation happens before baptism and that baptism isn’t apart of it but evidence of us being committed to our walk with Him in sanctification.
48 They baptized them and they stayed with them for a few days, this most likely would have been intended for discipleship and is something we as the church don’t focus enough on today.
