Numbers 22:26-27 King James Version (KJV)
26 And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
27 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.
Numbers 22:26-27 New King James Version (NKJV)
26 Then the Angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place where there was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. 27 And when the donkey saw the Angel of the LORD, she lay down under Balaam; so Balaam’s anger was aroused, and he struck the donkey with his staff.

26 The angel is completely blocking the way and the donkey sees the angel but Balaam is blind to see the angel. Sometimes we are so focused on where we are going that we miss what is right ahead but we have to have others help us see what we miss.
27 The donkey stopped and Balaam started beating the donkey trying to get it to move. Donkey’s could be stubborn animals but once trained to move they often did but this one isn’t moving because of the angel in front of it. We need to know we God once us to stop instead of moving forward.
