Christmas was made up by the Catholic church to combine a pagan holiday with “Christianity” to try to convert and win more pagans. They mixed good with evil. That is never a good idea.
December 25 was originally a holiday celebrating the birthdays of Baal, Tammuz, and the pagans’ sun god. Jesus was not born any time in December. Study has shown that He was most probably born late Sept. - early Oct.
Just the name- Christmas- can be broken down to reveal how wicked this holiday is. “Christmas” is “Christ-mas”- Christ mass. If you’re not familiar with the Catholic mass, they believe that Jesus literally dies all over again and they are eating His literal body and drinking His literal blood. It’s an evil practice. The holiday that is supposed to be celebrating His birth is called by something that goes totally against the Bible.
Also, what does someone called Santa Claus have to do with Jesus’ birth? Santa was created to be a replica of Jesus. Santa does NOT hear everything, see everything, or know everything. God does. Santa is a wicked person made to replace the Lord. A long time ago, Santa wasn’t a good person. He was an evil person who accompanied a black goat (Satan). This goat would actually kidnap children and put them into a sack. Santa Claus is not the innocent nice old man most people think him to be. Even the place where he “lives”, the North, and the famous laugh (”Ho, ho, ho!”) come from the Bible- Zechariah 2:6. He’s imitating our God.
The Christmas tree is not part of Jesus’ birth either. In fact, in the Bible, “green” trees are always being worshipped by heathen (ex. 1 Kings 14:23). If you’ll read Jeremiah 10:2-5, I’m sure that it’ll sound very familiar. Adam and Eve feel by eating from a tree. Pagans worshipped trees. Jesus died on a tree. So why are trees such an important part of Christmas, which is supposedly Christ’s birthday?
I won’t go on. I don’t want to bore you. This is just a little bit of all the reasons our family chooses not to celebrate Christmas. Here are some excellent websites to visit for some more information. Perhaps you’d like to show your parents. That way, if you don’t understand anything, they can explain it to you!
