Acts 10:9-11 King James Version (KJV)
9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

Peter Has a Vision
9 Around noon the next day, while they were on their way and coming close to the town, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became very hungry and wanted to eat, and while the food was being prepared, he fell into a trance 11 and saw heaven open and something like a large linen sheet coming down, being lowered by its four corners to the ground.

9 Peter would have made it a habit to prayer based on the way it states he got to himself to pray, which Jesus had set a standard for both personal prayer and praying with other believers, He often prayed with His disciples, at the garden both are done as Jesus went by Himself to pray and encouraged the disciples to pray together. Pray is a very important part of our life.
10 This is similar wording to when God did this to Abraham to make His covenant with him and I say it would have been a very similar effect that God brought on them both. Its states it in way to show this was not a dream and Peter had not gone crazy but the Lord brought this to Him. God can still work in this way but it will always be according to His word and will, if its never then the vision isn’t of God.
11 The four corners symbolize the four corners of the earth which means the vision refers to all people. It descending means this came from the Lord.
